KIMYE IN IRELAND?!?

Ok unless you live under a rock you know KIMYE got married yesterday in an over the top ceremony in Florence. Now what I can't believe is KIMYE are reported to be honeymooning in Cork!!!

Givenchy custom made dress!

Very Kate and Will!

Yep you read that right, Cork! Good old Ireland! They supposedly landed on the Emerald Isle at 3pm today on their private jet surrounded by security guards  I'm so in shock I can't believe it.

Anyone who knows me know I live breath and sleep Kardashian! If KIMYE really are here that means one thing ROADTRIP!!!!! Who's with me?

They're reportidly staying in the 5* Castle Martyr resort in Cork.

Whether it's the Irish Charm, Luck of the Irish or the fact we're not as mental as the paparazzi in the states I'm delighted they're here! I'm sure Jay-Z and Queen B had something to do with them coming here. They could walk around unrecognised so KIMYE must think they can do the same. I'm literally stalking Twitter for any kind of photographic evidence.

So, road trip anyone? :D

Celeb Spotting

So this weekend was a little mental. I'm only starting to relax now.

I was at the One Direction Concert in Croke Park on Friday evening. But on Friday at about 3:34pm I got to meet two huge celebs!

But first I had my very first Captain America's experience. We went for dinner in Captain America's on Grafton street. The food was amazing but it took them over 20 mins to take our order. This was really frustrating as we got the table at around 2 and were told they needed the table back at 2:45. But eventually we got our food in the end and it was amazing! I got the chicken and cheese enchiladas with sweet potato fries! So yummy!

I got some inside info on Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill's schedule for their visit to Ireland to promote 22 Jump Street. So myself and Eleanor headed off to Trinity College at about 2:45pm. The guys were due to arrive for their press call at 3, but they were fashionably late. We stood in the pouring rain for 45 minutes to see them. When they finally arrived I was so shocked by how orange they were! They had SO much makeup on! I also got to meet Glenda Gilson from Xpose! She was super nice and gorgeous! She is so tall! She has legs like a Victoria's Secret model, they just go on forever!

Jonah got out of the car on our side and everyone (about 30 of us) were shouting at Channing. I wanted Jonah! I called him and asked for a picture he smiled and said "of course" and walk straight over to me. He was really nice! Jonah then called Channing over and said "get some pictures". So Channing strolled over to me and graciously got into some selfies! I had my hand on his arm for balance and his biceps are HUGE! He also smelled amazing! "Were they ok?" I was in shock I was like "eh yeah,  and your daughter is so beautiful" "Thank you, thank you ".  I looked like an absolute drown rat in the pictures but hey, I'm in a selfie with Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill!

They were so nice! They had to do their press call then but myself and Eleanor decided to leave. We got the pictures no point in staying in the rain! We then went to BT2 on Grafton Street for a Starbucks. I never realised how long the walk from Grafton Street to Croke Park was! I mean I felt like I was walking for ages!

One direction was amazing! Niall Horan was so emotional it was so cute! Poor Liam Payne fell on stage as it was pouring rain for a lot of it! 5 Seconds of Summer were also amazing! They reminded me of this generation's Busted!

All in all I had a pretty crazy weekend! But it was really good despite the awful weather! What did you all get up to?

Self Confidence.

So as most of you have guessed my blog is going to be well, a bit of everything.

This post is on self confidence. After years of having zero self confidence. In the past year, I've really come out of my shell. This is a result of having great friends and family around me. They really pick me up when I'm down. This post is on my personal troubles with self confidence. There's no way to tell someone how to have self confidence. This has to come from within. I just hope the fact I'm being truly honest here will help people realise if they are being bullied or have been or are having self confidence issues, you're not alone.

Entering Miss University and representing my college was a great help to my self confidence. A few weeks after that I was chatting to a friend of mine Gretta on Facebook. She represented Kilkenny a few years ago in Miss Ireland. She's gorgeous and she encouraged me to think about entering Miss Ireland. I remember thinking "me? little me? compared to you and all the other gorgeous girls that have ever entered Miss Ireland? No way!". I thought she was crazy for thinking I would be good enough. But after she said it to me a few more times I entered. I am truly grateful to her for that, I would never have entered only for her encouragement. So thank you Gretta! <3

I was bullied in school and had a really tough time with it. It wasn't physical it was mental, which was awful. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I was called "ugly, fat, disgusting" among other names on a daily basis. I was called fat daily, even though I was under weight for my age. I was naturally underweight all my life. As a result from about 13 - 16 I had an abnormally large head in comparison to my small frame. When I look back on pictures I don't know how I didn't fall over.

But in saying all of this I had awful self confidence. I remember the night before my first day of college. I was in a new house, a new town and didn't know anyone. I just kept thinking I can be a whole new me. I said to myself that night before I went to sleep, I was never going to let anyone treat me the way I was treated before. I wasn't going through that mental torture again. I made friends in college and honestly they're the best friends I have ever had!
They pick me up when I'm down, they always know when I'm sad or there's something wrong. And what's even better, they're not afraid to bring me back down to earth if my head starts getting a little big.

I will do a separate post on Miss Ireland and my experiences with it. But I just have to say. If you have the opportunity to enter it. DO IT! It single handily was one of the best experiences of my life. It was amazing and I have made friends for life from it. It really built up my self confidence. It has made me so comfortable in my own skin. Growing up from about 13 I had an endless list of plastic surgeries I wanted to have done. This was from the bullying and constant criticism of my appearance. Now, I've none. I'm truly happy in my own skin. That I owe to my experiences with Miss Ireland. Sharon, Sean and Brendan really looked after me. Even when I had a little wobble and wanted to leave I thought I didn't deserve to be there, Brendan told me to stay. If it wasn't for his words of encouragement I would have left. So thanks for that Brendan!

Yeah I'd love a 6pack and toned legs but that's up to me and getting off my ass to do it. Thats where I lack motivation most of the time. But going to college, meeting the people I have, my friends, my family, my boyfriend and the experiences I've had have built my self confidence up.

So what I'm trying to say is, to build self confidence you have to surround yourself with positive people who make you a better person. Positive people will make you a positive person. This will make you happy and when you smile the world smiles back. You need people around you that are good to you and don't put you down. Hold your head high and stop looking at the ground when you walk. This is one thing everyone with self confidence issues does. I did it myself and you know what, one day you'll walk into a pole. Trust me! If you're being bullied, don't worry it will pass! It is horrible at the time and you wish for it to end day in and day out. It will end, it will go away. Sometimes standing up to the person works and that stops it. But not every time. But it will pass and your life will be so much better once it's over. Just do not take any drastic decisions.

Well that's about it from me. This is a very personal post, but if anyone needs to talk just email me. Links are in the side to my email and all of my Social Media Accounts. Easy know I'm in Digital Marketing.

The most Heavenly of Hair.

Hey everyone, so as I said in my last post. Today I headed off to Dublin on the train in the lashing rain to get my new hair. I met my friend in Heuston Station, hopped on the Luas and went to Lemon Jelly across from Jervis for brekkie! It was amazing as usual (currently my new obsession in Dublin!) Keep reading to the bottom and you won't regret it ;)

So 2 o clock came and we strolled on down to Mary Mall on Mary St behind Jervis. Ami and Ciara were the stylists doing our hair! It was Ami who I recently worked with on a shoot. The two girls were lovely and we chatted away during the whole three and a half our process, they really made the time fly! :)

So I sat down to get started while Hayleigh got fitted for a Halo hair piece. After having a reaction to a hair mask before, Ami explained the safest option for Hayleigh was the Halo as she could get a reaction again with her sensitive scalp.

So my process of getting the keratin bonds started and row by row I was getting more and more hair and I was so excited to see it. There are about 6 rows starting at the top of my neck working up to the top of my head. There's three rows at each side of my head also. In total I used 5 packets of Double Drawn Spanish Hair. I was a colour 1B (I have no clue what that is, but my hair is almost black). They then brushed through my hair and curled it. As I had my glasses today, when i took them off I couldn't see. So the anticipation was building.

I've wanted keratin bonded extensions for about 3 years now. But they are SO expensive in Ireland. Then after working with Heavenly Hair for my shoot with Evan. I fell in love and I knew I had to have their extensions.

Once I had the big reveal I almost cried! My hair is gorgeous! The girls did an AMAZING job. It's so silky and soft and full! It's going to take some time to get used to as they're 50cm long! Now obviously you can cut them if you like, but for me the longer the better ;)

Here is the price list for the extensions for Heavenly Hair. They call them their "Couture Extensions". They are the highest quality extensions I've seen since I've been researching them for the past three years.

Well ladies there you have it. I actually can't recommend Heavenly Hair and the team enough. They really are in a league of their own when it comes to hair care. If anyone would like me to do an aftercare post and how I style them. Just comment below or drop me a tweet at "niamhdermody". The wonderful ladies at Heavenly Hair have offered me a coupon code so, anyone who quotes "niamhsheavenlyhair" will recieve a free curling tong worth €79 if you book in for a full head of extensions. This tong is super long and amazing it's specifically for extensions or just super long hair. It's amazing you can't miss out on this offer! Remember quote "niamhsheavenlyhair" ;) Meanwhile check out Heavenly Hair's Facebook and Twitter.

All about Hair.. Heavenly Hair..

So for my first Beauty Post I thought I'd write all about hurrr!

This Tuesday myself and one of my besties Hayleigh are going to Dublin to get a full head of Keratin Bonded Extensions with the wonderfully amazing Heavenly Hair

Last July Hayleigh took me to London for my birthday to go to the Victoria's Secret shop. So after wrecking my brain for weeks and her first present idea falling through. After she had a bad reaction to a hair mask and lost some hair I decided to get her the extensions for her birthday. She was so happy and I can't wait to get mine done.

The wonderful girls at Heavenly Hair have been so good to me! I recently worked with them one of my portfolio shoots with one of Ireland's Top Photographer's the amazing Evan Doherty

When the girls arrived to style my hair that day they were so nice! I used they're "Halo" hair piece.
It's literally a big thin wire circle with hair on one half. You put it on over your ears over your normal hair and pull it through. So easy to use! The hair is AMAZING quality. Double drawn Spanish hair. It's so soft, this was my first time ever using extensions of any kind and I was blown away by the Halo. They last about 5 years if you look after it and are a great alternative if you don't want the commitment of Keratin or micro bead extentions.

Check out X-Factor's Melanie McCabe and her Halo!

I have very long dark brown hair. My hair is healthy enough but it's very very thin. We've all been there girls, a had a bad haircut about 6 years ago and my hair was never the same. My hair was super thick and healthy and was down past the middle of my back. The hair dresser took it upon herself to thin it out to the last and chopped it up above my shoulders. It has never been the same since :(

So in order to prepare for these extensions, tomorrow morning I'm going to get my hair coloured and trimmed. I'll just be keeping with the dark brown and just getting the ends trimmed into a "V" shape so they blend well with the extensions.  I adore my stylist Emma, she's the only person I allow near my hair with a scissors. She works for Peter Mark in Kilkenny hit her up you won't regret it!

Here's myself with the Halo on. I loved it I mean look below. Not one but TWO Halo's on! I had so much hair!

My fabulous MUA Jamie making me beautiful there!

I will be updating on Tuesday about the extensions and how the process went of getting them in. I may even Vlog a little! Check out the pictures below and if you're in Ireland you should really check them out! Irish owned business with fantastic staff and great value for money :)
